URBN Market Fusion
URBN Market Fusion is a family-owned and operated small AAPI business based in Winchester, California, established by husband and wife team Justin and Melori (Mel) Mabunay. After years of working full-time jobs in the hospitality industry, URBN Market was built in an effort to spend more time with their family.
Meet Chef Justin
Chef Justin Mabunay has always had a passion for food. After serving as an Executive Sous Chef for Valley View Casino and Executive Chef for several assisted living facilities in the San Diego/Riverside area, he decided to start his own business. In 2016, Justin, along with his wife Mel, established URBN Market Fusion, starting as a catering company serving Southern California. During the pandemic, Justin saw an opportunity to pivot the business, opening a microenterprise home kitchen operation (MEKO). Soon after in January 2022, URBN Market made its debut as a popup at a local farmer’s market in Temecula. By March 2023, URBN Market had expanded to a food truck, operating throughout Southern California.
Justin has won numerous awards throughout his 20+ year career as a chef. His love for food and good flavors is what he hopes to share with his customers.
